Cyclothymia - symptoms and treatment

What are the symptoms of cyclothymia?

Signs of cyclothymia are very visible and at the same time very bothersome, not so much for the "ill one", but most of all for the people who surround the patient.

The extreme behavior happens at different times, it affects negatively not only the patient, but also the close friends and patient's family. In one moment the patient can enjoy with no reason and out of the blue he can fall into a moment of great sorrow.

You can be extremely focused and in a minute you may be absent-minded so you don't know what's going on. Another symptom of this disease is no demand for sleep, it often resembles a case of taking drugs.

It is hard to find a clear explanation for the emergence of this disorder - hence the scholars believe that cyclothymia is a kind of personality, but at the time of the discovery of bipolar affective disorder manifested in alternately falling into depression and hypomania, it is thought that cyclothymia is a variant of that disease, rather than the type of personality.

Cyclothymia is a form of bipolar disorder often associated with depression.
